- Manage the assigned NPL portfolio and ensure maximum efforts for its reduction in order to recover the stuck-up loan.
- To remain current with developments in the accounts to overcome the inherent Risks of each case, and inform the superior officer (if required) in order to counter any future issues.
- Improve asset quality by restructuring/rescheduling facilities including and not limited to obtaining additional securities wherever possible.
- Prepare Credit Proposals for consideration of the Management in all assigned cases where the customer is willing to restructure/settle the defaulted account after a thorough Analysis of available cash flows/financial data provided by the delinquent borrower, security position, and market research in accordance with bank sops in order to maximize bank recovery.
- To obtain all files, documents, and update on case status related to newly transferred NPL accounts from branch/region/CCAD allocated to the team and submit its written report including identification of any discrepancy/shortfall/negative observation, etc., to the Team leader for his review and necessary action.
- Ensure Continuous follow-up and monitoring of Restructured loans with respect to their agreed repayment schedules.
- Ensure timely preparation of Credit /Restructuring proposals and their approvals for early disposal of the case.
- Liaison with the legal department and follow a pro-active approach to ensure expeditious resolution of legal cases and quick filing of legal action, wherever required
- Ensure submission of Call reports/CLMRs in a timely manner in all accounts in order to update the Management of the Bank.
- Ensure timely valuations, market checking reports, legal updates of relevant cases, maintenance and updating of Customer files with all necessary documents, etc., in accordance with the Bank’s SOPs.
